 Job Title # Senior Accountant

Contract 6 months extendable

Location Dubai

Salary - AED 14000

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing audits, conducting financial analysis, and providing insights for business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

#Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).

Ensure financial statements comply with

#GAAP

(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or #IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial forecasts.

#GeneralLedgerManagement:

Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions.

Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.

#Accounts Payable/Receivable:

Supervise and review the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timely processing of payments and collections.

Manage relationships with vendors, clients, and other external parties.

#Audit and #Compliance:

Assist in the preparation for external and internal audits.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and accounting policies.

Identify and implement improvements in processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.

#Taxation:

Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Collaborate with tax advisors and external consultants on tax planning and preparation.

#Financial Analysis and #Budgeting:

Provide financial analysis to assist management in decision-making.

Participate in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.

Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures and recommend corrective actions.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA, CMA, ACCA preferred).

Proven experience -5+ years as an Accountant, Senior Accountant

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
